EURO OPTI

A GREAT BEGINNER DINGHY

The EURO OPTI is designed  as a child's and adult trainer similar to the most

popular boat available in the U.S.  With a gaff rig and adjustable boom, sail, 

 and centerboard, the Euro Opti permits unlimited adjustment of the rig

which has been supplied by optiparts.  The hull is manufactured by

Topper from their their almost indestructible tri-lam laminate

which eliminates buoyancy bags and allows room for storage

as well as making the hull totally unsinkable.

The rudder is wood and is not retractable.  The specs are as follows:

The bottom is reinforced with 3 ribs for extra stiffness.

A rubber stop is fitted to the back of the centerboard case.

Everything on the Euro Opti is aimed at the young sailor.   Despite it's small size,  the boat can be sailed by an adult and it is easily carried by its gunwale.  The Euro Opti also  rows easily, the positions for the oarlocks are already molded in.   Two large drain holes in the transom keep the boat dry and facilitate draining the hull when required.
