VICTORIA PO  The PO stands for polyethelene.  The Victoria is a very easy kayak to master and is popular with children and adults who want to paddle around in a recreational manner.   It is relatively short and has a very stable bottom shape, almost flat under the cockpit.  The generous beam and moderate rocker contribute to stability and quick turns.  It tracks well and is quite fast.  It's comfortable for paddlers up to 180 lbs. , and the cockpit opening is 27" x 16".  We install a backrest to assure a comfortable  ride.  The rear hatch consists of a "hatch bag" which is a thick plastic bag similar to a dry bag - which is fastened to the hatch rim. The hatch lid is a screw-on deckplate.  Using a bag allows the boat to expand and contract in different weather conditions without damaging a bulkhead  (no bulkhead - no damage).  Two knotted ropes serve as toggles and there are no deck elastics installed.  This is an economy boat and there is nothing fancy about it - but it paddles very well.  $399.00

SPECS:  13'9" X 25"   Weight 50 lbs.  Max. Cap. 200 lbs.  Cockpit 27" x 16".

The Victoria PO is faster and priced lower than many short, fat, recreational kayaks.  It's less tiring to paddle and will give years of pleasure to its owner.  The length contributes to a good turn of speed and it combines easy turning with good tracking.  Very stable - a good beginner kayak.  Great for children 10 yrs. and up as well as adults.
